Produktinformation "Advantech ADAM-6541"
The ADAM-6541 is designed for the conversion of Ethernet networks into fibre optic networks. This is done by transparently converting Ethernet signals into optical signals. The advantages of optical fibre are large bandwidth, EMI immunity and the ability to transmit over long distances. Therefore, ADAM-6541 is an ideal solution for "fibre-to-building" applications in central offices or local sites. ADAM-6541 supports automatic MDI/MDIX detection, so you do not need to use crossover wires. Both the Ethernet port and the fibre port have memory buffers that support store-and-forward mechanisms. This ensures that data can be transmitted properly. The ADAM-6541 is extremely compact and can be mounted in three different ways: DIN rail, wall and stack. ADAM-6541 can operate normally from 0 ~ 60°C and accepts a wide voltage range of 10 ~ 30 VDC. It also provides overvoltage protection of 3,000 VDC (EFT), making it suitable for harsh operating environments.
