Features

Secure access and communication
With TLS (Transport Layer Security) and HTTPS, communication between ADDERLink™ INFINITY (ALIF) devices and the ADDERLink INFINITY Manager (AIM), as well as between AIM and the outside world, is secure.

Redundant operation
For 24/7 reliability, a second AIM can be added on the fly to ensure constant uptime, and with dual NIC interfaces on each ADDERLink INFINITY unit, systems can easily be designed for maximum resilience.

User access rights and audit trail management
Administrators can manage access rights for each device on a per-user basis, either manually via the web browser or automatically via Active Directory. Reports showing device history, user logins and device connections can be viewed and exported to a CSV file or via SYSLOG.

Easy centralised management
The dashboard, accessed via a web browser, provides a real-time overview of system connections and users. Tabs allow you to navigate between settings and devices or user submenus.

Control of Channel and Preset Connections
AIM can be used to establish connections between an individual pair of transmitting and receiving devices centrally from the management system. Using, a list of predefined connections, multiscreen, video wall or signage setups can be pushed with a single click.

Internationalisation
User stations can select different keyboard configurations according to their needs and, as a global setting, choose the language for the OSD from a selection of over 14 languages.

On-screen display at each user station
Users log in and select channel connections through an intuitive OSD similar to that of a digital television. Users can also use presets to change channels for multiple screens across multiple receivers.

Remote OSD
The Remote OSD allows users to "push" video and control to another station or to a video wall or projector.

Favourites and hotkey switching
Each user can select their favourite channels within the OSD and assign a hotkey for quick switching between channels.

Choice of connection modes
Administrators can give users the option to connect in four modes: View Only, Shared, Private or Exclusive. Each allowed mode is then made available within the OSD.

Fast video and USB switching
Switching time between computers is less than 1 second to ensure a high-quality user experience.

Multicasting
Network multicasting allows the system to transmit video simultaneously from one transmitter to an unlimited number of receivers. Suitable for signage, surveillance and desktop sharing.

USB sharing
USB sharing allows multiple users to connect and control a single computer simultaneously. Each transmitter can report 12 unique USB devices (identified by VID/PID codes), but merges devices with the same ID to allow many more.

Channels
Considered a virtual transmitter, a channel can combine video, audio and USB from different transmitters as a single source. Ideal when audio alerts or mixed video sources are required.

Open API for third-party control systems
Adder Technology publishes a simple API structure to allow easy integration with other 3rd party control systems from companies such as AMX, Crestron, HRS or MediaLon at HTTP level.

LDAP integration
For ease of setup, the system has an LDAP interface so that users and passwords can be easily imported from other systems.

SNMP v3 get / walk
External machines can query AIM to know the status of the ALIF network and devices. SNMP v3 security is implemented and supports AES/DES transport with MD5/SHA authentication.

Support for external NTP servers - NTPv4.2
Connection of up to 3 NTP servers with authenticated connections using MD5 and Key ID as defined in the NTP standards. All ALIF devices on an AIM network now receive time via authenticated NTP from AIM.

System backups
Backups of the database can be stored internally and externally or sent automatically by email. Automatic updates can be scheduled on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.

Centralised firmware upgrades
AIM manages not only its own firmware upgrade, but also the upgrade of every device on the network and can distribute firmware to hundreds of devices simultaneously, so that a system-wide upgrade takes only a few minutes.

Simple matrix setup
By using Zero Config. Networking, AIM automatically obtains the MAC addresses of the extender units as they are connected to the network. The administrator assigns IP addresses, names and locations so that the devices are easy to identify, configure and control.
